I wanted to join Lambda Lil Sis as soon as I came to the first general meeting. The values Lambdas stand for were inspirational to me, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I am from Oregon, so coming to the University of Washington was a huge step out of my comfort zone. Being able to say I am a part of the Lambda Lil Sis not only made me proud to be here, but also like I had a community of people that I could call a family away from home. I am so thankful for the opportunities I have had in Lambda Lil Sis and look forward to many more memories to come.

Joining the Lil Sis program has been one of the highlights of my college career. I know that I can always count on my Lambda Lil Sis, my big bro, my pdad and all the other brothers whenever I need support. I’ve gained valuable experiences and skills for my professional career, but the thing I treasure the most as a Lambda Lil Sis are the unbreakable bonds I’ve created with them. Because of that, I’m extremely blessed to be able to call them all my family.

Joining lambda little sis has not only enhanced my college experience but it has supported me through my academic and career goals. My big bro, co-bro, and pledge dad are a huge inspiration to me and I am lucky to have these wonderful male figures in my life. I couldn’t ask for a better family!

By nature, people need someone to lean on every once in a while. There have been countless times where I felt that my “friends” have left me down, but whenever that happens, a Lambda always pulls through and lends a helping hand. As a Lambda Lil Sis, you will feel unconditional love, support, and protection. Nothing comes close to the bond you have with family and Lambdas are like a family in the sense that they are always there for you no matter what, giving you that feeling of “home away from home.” College is also a great time to try something new. Be open minded and experience something that’s unparalleled to any other.

I know that I have added value to the Asian American community on campus because of my heavy involvement with Lambda Phi Epsilon. Upon crossing, I became more vocal about issues that affect my community, and I became more motivated to excel in my academic work. This fraternity has helped me develop my sense of Self as a leader in my workplace.
Growing up, I never had a big brother figure I could look up to or run to when I needed advice. So when I was introduced to the Lambda Lil Sis program I figured: ehh, why not? At the least I would get to meet some new people. What I got out from it was completely different then anything I could have imagined. Not only did I gain a big bro that I could spent hours (literally) boring with the details of my life while he stuffed me with bubble tea and desserts, but I had been exposed to a new family not limited to the active house but to the alums and bros nationwide. Anytime I need advice or just someone to bother I am never reluctant to stop by the house or randomly text my big or anyone in my line. Loving the family vibe. Yay T’sai line! :)

We would like to personally thank [Lambdas for their] contribution of time and energy to the 2012 Candlelight Vigil. The Vigil could not have been a success without the help of you who donated time and energy. It was great to have worked with you. Your contribution is important to end sexual and domestic violence and we truly appreciate your support. Once again, thank you for your time and efforts.
I can sincerely say that Lambda members are truly one of my favorite groups to work with every year, and this year was no exception. The enthusiasm and dedication they demonstrate is something I wish I could duplicate at all of my drives. I look forward to working with Lambda Phi Epsilon in the future.
