I wanted to join Lambda Lil Sis as soon as I came to the first general meeting. The values Lambdas stand for were inspirational to me, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I am from Oregon, so coming to the University of Washington was a huge step out of my comfort zone. Being able to say I am a part of the Lambda Lil Sis not only made me proud to be here, but also like I had a community of people that I could call a family away from home. There have been countless times where I felt that my “friends” have left me down, but whenever that happens, a Lambda always pulls through and lends a helping hand. As a Lambda Lil Sis, you will feel unconditional love, support, and protection. Nothing comes close to the bond you have with family and Lambdas are like a family in the sense that they are always there for you no matter what, giving you that feeling of “home away from home.” College is also a great time to try something new. Be open minded and experience something that’s unparalleled to any other.
